Watauga Eye Center in Boone, N.C., announced this week it will merge its ophthalmology practice with Graystone Eye and Graystone Eye Surgery Center, according to a Go Blue Ridge report.
The two practices will merge effective June 1. The release says that William Atkins, MD, Jack Lawrence, OD, and Joseph Allen, MD, will remain the primary providers in the Boone and Linville offices. They have joined 11 comprehensive eye physicians and sub-specialists to provide a broad spectrum of medical and surgical eye care, including retina and glaucoma service and cornea specialization.
The AAAHC accredited eye surgery center features two operating rooms.
