It didn't take long for the Orchard Park, N.Y.-based Southtowns Surgery Center to have its first patients after opening at the end of July, the West Seneca Bee reports.
Here's what you need to know.
1. The center is 18,000 square feet, and is part of the BrookBridge Medical Park. The center has four operating rooms, six pre-op areas, six phase one recovery rooms and eight phase two recovery rooms.
2. The center specializes in orthopedic, plastic, general and podiatric surgery.
3. The center was built for $2.7 million.
4. Director of the center Mary Rose Graham has already expressed interest in expanding the center. "We have full intentions, hopefully in the next five years, to expand the Southtowns Surgery Center," she said.
5. The center is an affiliate of Kaleida Health.
