University Estates, a mixed-used development in Athens, Ohio, has received the green light from the Athens Planning Commission for a planned ambulatory surgery center to be constructed on the site, according to a report from Athens Messenger.
The center is a collaboration between unnamed physicians and SurgCenter Development, though the report names Jason Reed, DO, an orthopedic surgeon who is part of physician practice Joint Implant Surgeons, as one of the physicians involved in the deal.
SurgCenter officials said the project is not far enough along for public comment, according to the report.
