A new ambulatory surgery center for Erie (Pa.) Veterans Affairs Medical Center is scheduled to break ground next winter, according to an Erie Times-News report.
The ASC is part of $37.5 million worth of construction and renovation planned for the hospital.
The ASC would be housed in a single-story, 15,000-square-foot building. The plan calls for it to have three operating rooms and two endoscopy suites.
Construction of the surgery center is expected to take about a year.
