A new ambulatory surgery center opened in Middletown, Conn., in July 2010, according to Chuck Owen, principal of Healthcare Venture Professionals.
HVP obtained the certificate of need and led the development and management of the ASC. Middlesex Center for Advanced Orthopedic Surgery is a 50/50 joint venture with Middlesex Hospital and three separate orthopedic surgeon groups.
It had a successful AAAHC inspection and received three-year accreditation.
