Licking Memorial Hospital Reverts to Outpatient Surgery Center

Licking Memorial Hospital has been converted back to an outpatient surgery center after operating as an inpatient facility, according to a Columbus Business First report.

Licking Memorial Health Systems purchased the facility for $26 million in December and converted it back to an outpatient surgery center. The center began offering outpatient eye procedures in July.

The facility initially began as a physician-owned outpatient surgery center. It was converted to an inpatient facility in 2007 and now becomes an outpatient surgery center once again.

Licking Memorial Health Systems intends to add outpatient orthopedics, podiatry and urology surgery services at the center.
