University General Health System, based in Houston, has announced it will acquire a new ambulatory surgery center in Baytown, Texas, according to a news release.
The new surgery center, which is expected to open later this month, will be co-managed with Jacinto Medical Group, a multi-specialty group of physicians from Baytown.
Once acquired, the center will operate as a hospital outpatient department of University General Hospital. It is expected to perform more than 3,100 procedures, primarily in gastroenterology and pain management, and generate $12 million in revenue and $5 million in EBITDA during its first year of operations.
