Rome, N.Y.-based Griffis Surgery Center filed a certificate of need to add two operating rooms, according to Rome Sentinel.
Here are four things to know:
1. The ASC proposed adding 6,500 square feet of space for the two operating rooms.
2. Through the additional rooms, the surgery center strives to increase employment by adding 11 full-time jobs.
3. The surgery center offers ophthalmology, plastic and cosmetic surgery as well as gynecology.
4. Officials are currently receiving the CON.
