The New York Department of Health has approved development of a new surgery center in Buffalo, N.Y., according to a Buffalo Business First report.
A group of physicians operating under the name WNY Medical Management filed a certificate of need application for the ambulatory surgery center in 2009, according to earlier reports. The plans call for opening a single-specialty facility specializing in pain management with two procedure rooms operating in 3,400 square feet within an existing medical office building.
The ASC would provide treatment to patients with acute or chronic pain, and the group projects performing 2,000 procedures in its first year of operation.
