The physicians from Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists are building a new medical complex, including an ambulatory surgery center, according to a Sun Herald report.
Here are five things to know:
1. The new facility will be three stories with the orthopedic outpatient surgery center on the first floor.
2. The whole medical park will be a 47,000-square-foot building costing $10 million. Encore Physical Therapy and Singing River Health System as well as Deaconess Homecare will be located in the facility, but 60 percent will be Bienville's medical clinic.
3. Bienville Orthopaedic is a 16-physician group focusing on spine and joint replacements. It has five clinics on the coast and the physicians have privileges at five hospitals.
4. The surgical center is expected to be complete by next year.
5. With the new medical complex, the orthopedic surgeons home to attract a larger rate of patients from across the state.
