Barrington (Ill.) Pain and Spine Institute plans to offer orthopedic and podiatric surgery services.

1. The State of Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board approved BPSI's certificate of need application to expand services.
2. The practice currently offers interventional pain management and minimally invasive spine surgery.
3. BPSI has performed thousands of interventional pain and spine procedures since it opened Oct. 2, 2012.
"With the state's CON and acknowledgement of our clinical expertise in diagnosing and treating painful conditions, we are excited to offer a continuum of care involving not only interventional pain management and spine surgery but orthopedic and podiatric surgery as well," BPSI Medical Directors John V. Prunskis, MD, and Terri Dallas-Prunskis, MD, said in a press release.
