The following hospitals have opened or announced an ambulatory surgery center in the past month.
1. Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is in the process of building the Josie Robertson Surgery Center in New York City.
2. New York-based Montefiore Medical Center opened a $152 million, 12-story surgery center built to serve around 300,000 patients annually.
3. Lafayette General Health opened a new ambulatory surgery center within its Lafayette (La.) General Surgical Hospital.
4. The Lebanon (Pa.) VA Medical Center announced it will hold an open house for its new ASC in Lebanon Township Nov. 10.
5. Bradley Hospital, a campus of the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain, opened a new ambulatory surgery center in Southington, Conn.
6. Shriners Hospital for Children and UK Healthcare, both in Lexington, Ky., announced plans to build a new ambulatory care center across from the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital campus.
