Investing in real estate is one way for ASCs to maximize value, according to HealthCare Appraisers, a healthcare consulting and valuation group.
Three trends to watch:
1. Many ASCs are setting up their own operating and real estate companies to lower their earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization rate through increasing real estate payments.
2. Higher lease rates and real estate values have led to higher rental rates for ASCs.
3. ASCs that have a long-term lease or a credit tenancy are in high demand for investors.
