Here are 10 hospitals and health systems that have recently announced the opening or construction plans for ambulatory surgery centers. Montefiore Medical Center and WESTMED Practice Partners have announced plans, in conjunction with Simone Health Development Group, to build a new medical building, which includes a surgery center. The surgery center will include 12 operating rooms and four procedure rooms.
Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge, N.J., and a group of 25 physicians have begun construction on a $45 million joint venture surgery center. The ASC is expected to reach completion by fall of next year.
