Covidien to Acquire Minimally Invasive Interventional Pulmonology Devices Developer for $300M

Covidien has announced it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire superDimension, a developer of minimally invasive interventional pulmonology devices based in Israel, according to a news release.

 

superDimension's i-Logic System uses Electromagnetic Navigation Bronchoscopy to provide minimally invasive access to lesions in the lungs as well as mediastinal lymph nodes.

 

Covidien will acquire all of the outstanding capital stock of superDimension for approximately $300 million. The transaction is expected to be completed in the second calendar quarter of 2012.
