Corentec America Receives FDA Clearance for Lospa Knee System

Corentec America, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Seoul-based Corentec Co, has announced that it has received FDA clearance to market its Lospa Knee System in the U.S.

The knee joint replacement system is available along with the total hip replacement system and a pedicle screw system for spine surgery. Product extensions for the company's Bencox THR System and spinal implants are in the process of receiving FDA clearance.

The femoral component of the Lospa Knee System is designed with a single axis concept for articular stability with flexion for improved range of motion. The anterior flange shape and dimension provides improved patella tracking.

The company will unveil the knee system at the North American Spine Society annual meeting in Dallas this fall.
