CEO of Boston Scientific Will Retire By End of Year

Ray Elliott, president and CEO of Boston Scientific, will retire by the end of the year, according to a release by the company.

Mr. Elliott will have been on the job for a little less than two years. He said he felt he had accomplished much in improving things at Boston Scientific during his tenure, and that "we expect that much of the turnaround work will be complete by the end of the year."

The company recently reported that a shipment of endoscopy and other medical devices was stolen last month on its way to its sterilization facility. The company said the devices could cause infection since they were not yet sterilized.
