Boston Scientific has notified its customers of the theft of several women's endoscopy and urology products prior to sterilization, according to a MedPage Today report.
The company warned customers that the non-sterile products may pose an infection risk to patients. The products are limited to 15 individual lots of the endoscopic and urologic devices. According to the report, labels on the stolen devices inaccurately represent the products as sterile.
The stolen products, which were taken sometime between April 8 and 11, are itemized in a release online, according to the report. Customers with stolen products are asked to contact Boston Scientific.
