1. The technology is called the Virtual Clipboard Initiative.
2. The clipboard will automate critical health insurance and demographic information.
3. It was created to develop a strict set of industry standards for sharing healthcare information within mobile technology, improving patient satisfaction and patient safety.
4. The Sullivan Institute for Healthcare Innovation partnered with the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange, Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society and Medical Group Management Association to improve the patient intake process.
5. The companies plan to design, launch and measure the Phase 1 pilot in 2015.
