Nearly 90 percent of students believe it is extremely important for health professions schools to provide training or skills in patient safety, according to a survey (pdf) by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
The survey includes responses from 336 registrants in IHI's Open School — which offers students, residents and faculty free online courses on quality improvement, patient safety and other aspects of healthcare professions.
