The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality offers a free preventing falls toolkit to help hospitals implement a fall prevention program.
The toolkit was developed under a contract with AHRQ through the ACTION II program — Accelerating Change and Transformation in Organizations and Networks — and was created by a team including staff from the RAND Corp., ECRI Institute and Boston University.
"Preventing Falls in Hospitals: A Toolkit for Improving Quality of Care," includes an implementation guide, an introductory letter to stakeholders, an action plan, an interdisciplinary team tool and other resources.
