The White House vetoed House Republicans $1.1 billion Zika-funding bill, according to The Hill.
Here are four things to know:
1. To fund the bill, the Obama administration would have to take funds from other healthcare programs, prompting their decision to veto the bill.
2. The House passed the funding bill yesterday morning, and is now making its way to the Senate Floor. The Senate will vote on the bill next week.
3. Officials say it is highly unlikely the Senate will pass the funding bill.
4. The House legislation directs $500 million from the Affordable Care Act fund for state health exchanged for its bill. It also is drawing on nearly $100 million of the Obama administration’s Ebola fund.
