The Niagara Health Quality Coalition has published the 2011 edition of its New York State Hospital Report Card along with a safety analysis, and 20 hospitals in the state have been named to the "Watch List" of hospitals with troubled safety records, according to a Times Union report.
Twenty-four hospitals were named the "Safest Hospitals" in the state. These were hospitals with the fewest preventable complications, medical errors and infections, while those on the "Watch List" had a higher number of problems in those safety areas.
