Fourteen infectious disease quality measures and a measure related to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease have been endorsed by the National Quality Forum.
The infectious disease measures include appropriate treatment for upper respiratory infections; screening for tuberculosis and sexually transmitted diseases in HIV/AIDS patients; and vaccination and treatment for hepatitis C, according to the release.
