VMG Health launched a web-based version of the Intellimarker to include data gathered from ASCs across the U.S.
Here are five things to know.
1. The Intellimarker includes data based on analysis of 270 ASCs across the U.S. The aggregated data represents surgical case volume of more than 1.3 million and is designed for ASCs to better understand relative financial and operational performance.
2. The data is free to access after registering and users can analyze key metrics, benchmark ASC performance, learn more about ASCs and explore data from centers across the country.
3. Data from the Intellimarker survey includes:
• Revenue and expenses
• Liquidity
• Case volume
• Case mix
• Reimbursement by specialty
• Payer mix
• Staffing
• Facility information
4. In addition to giving data on overall ASC performance, the Intellimarker site breaks down data into regional benchmarking statistics to help develop actionable strategies to improve the ASC's performance and create value.
5. According to the report, there are 5,602 ASCs in the U.S. as of December 2017, and the ASC market generates around $15 billion to $25 billion in annual revenue.
