On May 23, the House of Representatives will review legislation to increase transparency into ownership of certain healthcare facilities, according to a May 23 report from JDSupra.
The bill, H.R. 3262, would require that all ASCs report to the Department of Health and Human Services upon any change in ownership.
HHS would then use this data to submit annual trend reports on healthcare consolidation.
The bill was first introduced on May 11 and was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce and the Committee on Ways and Means.
