The bad investments physicians are making

Fifty-one percent of physicians have made what they referred to as a bad investment in the last year, according to Medscape's 2024 "Physician Wealth & Debt Report," published June 12.

For the report, Medscape surveyed 7,000 physicians across more than 29 specialties between Oct. 2 and Jan. 16.

Thirty-three percent of physicians said they have invested in a bad stock or company, according to the report. An additional 11% said they have made a bad real estate investment, while 19% said they have made another type of bad investment.

About 33% said they have never made a bad investment mistake while 16% avoid investing altogether.
