Laser Spine Institute, based in Tampa, Fla., named Roger Cary the new president and CEO.
"We are excited to welcome Roger Cary to Laser Spine Institute as his deep expertise in healthcare, outpatient services and lifelong dedication to serving patients uniquely positions him to lead the company," said Bill Horne, executive chairman of the Laser Spine Institute board.
Here are five things to know:
1. Mr. Cary will follow David Pillsbury as president and CEO. Mr. Pillsbury joined Laser Spine Institute in July 2015 and during his tenure he played a role in establishing the company's new headquarters and ASC in Tampa's Avion Park.
2. Mr. Cary has 30 years of healthcare experience in hospital and outpatient settings. His background includes leadership positions at Cancer Treatment Centers of America. He has led transformation efforts and facility expansions in the past to increase operational efficiencies and improve healthcare delivery.
3. In his new role, Mr. Cary will be based at Laser Spine Institute's Tampa headquarters. He plans to continue focusing on the "patient first" focus of the company.
4. Mr. Cary will take over the president and CEO role on Dec. 5.
5. Laser Spine Institute has facilities in Tampa, Scottsdale, Ariz., Philadelphia, Oklahoma City, Cleveland, St. Louis and Cincinnati. Voyance Healthcare has recognized the facilities with the National APEX Quality Award for patient satisfaction.
