Physician resident compensation has reached $67,400 in 2023, up 5 percent from last year, according to Medcape's 2023 "Resident Salary & Debt Report," published Sept. 13.
Resident salaries showed sluggish growth between 2021 and 2022, rising only $200. The 5 percent raise from 2022 indicates that salary growth could once again be back on track.
