Franklin, Tenn.-based Regent Surgical Health is expanding its partnership with Beaverton-based Oregon Surgical Institute.
The expanded agreement gives Regent majority ownership of OSI, an ASC focused on complex cases, according to a Nov. 16 news release. The two first partnered in 2016 and established the first ASC in the northwest U.S. to specialize in complex cases. focusing on spine and orthopedics. More than half of OSI's cases are total joint replacements.
"Regent’s increased investment will further enable the world-class clinical team at Oregon Surgical Institute to focus on the delivery of industry-leading care, while also excelling the orthopedic and total joint space in general," Regent's COO, Jeff Andrews, said in the release. "Our evolved partnership was made possible by the trust OSI’s leadership team has placed in us, and this will bolster both value and access by strengthening OSI’s position as a home for the growing list of procedures being delivered through ambulatory surgical centers nationally."
