Proposed Pennsylvania medical office building denied following 15 hearings

A proposed development including a medical office building and dialysis center in Derry Township, Pa., has been denied by township supervisors, who voted 5-0 against the master plan, according to a Nov. 15 report from Penn Live.

The decision comes following nearly 15 conditional use hearings addressing the project, which would also have included a gas station, restaurants, apartment and retail space, over the last year.

Supervisors cited dozens of reasons to oppose the project, including the developer's failure to follow codes and increased traffic congestion in the area.
