San Francisco-based Practice Fusion received the highest physician satisfaction rating amongst other industry-leading EHR platforms, according to a new survey released by Reaction Data.
Here are five things to know:
1. The survey aimed to better understand physician sentiment towards EHRs and to identify qualities that may help practitioners choose a platform best suited to their needs.
2. To evaluate the most commonly used EHR vendors, 889 physicians who use an EHR daily were asked to rate how likely they were to recommend their vendor to a colleague on a scale of zero to 10.
3. According to the report, 70 percent of physician participants rated Practice Fusion with a seven or higher.
4. Practice Fusion received the highest overall satisfaction rating of the surveyed vendors, which also included athenahealth, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, Epic, GE Healthcare, Greenway Health, MEDITECH and NextGen.
5. Almost 60 percent of respondents worked in ambulatory care settings and almost 40 percent were from physician-owned practices or clinics.
