South Dakota — the best state to practice medicine, according to financial advisory group Physicians Thrive — has 15 ASCs.
In May, Physicians Thrive released its ranking of the top 10 states to practice medicine. To create the ranking, Physicians Thrive examined each state's compensation, cost of living, physician density and more. Read more about the methodology here.
The number of ASCs provided comes from December 2022 data from ASCA.
