How robotic orthopedics programs can be financially viable in ASCs

Orthopedic procedures are quickly moving into the outpatient setting, and new technology allows surgeons to achieve better outcomes in ambulatory surgery centers.

Surgeons are already using robotic technology in the hospitals and seeing better outcomes because their procedures are more precise. The robotic technology can bring strategic value to knee replacement surgery, but the technology can be a huge capital expenditure for ASCs.

When would it make sense to invest? Is it financially viable for ASCs?

Jess Lonner, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at Rothman Institute, will speak about his experience with robotic technology in the ASC in a webinar on Thursday, July 2. Dr. Lonner will talk about the clinical benefits he sees with robotic technology and how an orthopedics robotic program can be financially viable for ASCs.

There will also be a discussion about the new technology that improves patient outcomes and market presence.
