Glassdoor examined the current state of U.S. employment and offered projections on areas poised for growth.

1. Although there was strong growth across all industries this year, healthcare dwarfed them all.
2. Glassdoor selected 15 positions it expects to grow most through 2026, four of which are in healthcare. Healthcare is positioned for strong growth because of the aging population in the U.S. The Baby Boomer generation is nearing retirement age and creating high demand.
3. The one factor limiting growth is a shortage of qualified physicians.
4. Glassdoor believes home health and personal care aid will experience the most growth with nearly 1.2 million new roles expected by 2026;.Registered nurses are third with 437,000 new jobs; medical assistants seventh with 184,600 new jobs and nursing assistants eighth with 164,000 new jobs.
