The proposal stands to benefit hospitals and surgery centers in the state, though the consensus seems to be that more work to accommodate travelers, especially international ones, is necessary if the influx of cash into Florida's healthcare economy is to have a lasting effect.
The Surgery Center at Doral's international services director, Brenda Escobar, says language interpretation as well as concierge-style services will be important additions to the system for international patients.
