Colorado ASC temporarily closes following flooding: 5 takeaways

Frisco, Colo.-based Peak One Surgery Center experienced heavy rains and flooded on Aug. 8, causing the ASC to close its doors for the remainder of the week, according to Summit Daily News.

Here are five takeaways:

1. The ASC canceled 11 scheduled procedures for that Wednesday, Aug. 9.

2. Staff moved all medical equipment out of the facility to avoid damage.

3. The building's interior suffered minor damage and a crew is working to dry out the ceilings.

4. No surgeries were taking place at the time of the leaks.

5. The ASC has flooded twice since January 2015, including this week's flooding.
