CMS accepts majority of claims submitted during March ICD-10 testing week.
In March, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services conducted an ICD-10 testing week. Approximately 2,600 participating testers submitted more than 127,000 claims with ICD-10 codes to the Medicare Fee-for-Service claims system. Overall, CMS accepted 89 percent of claims. Some regions reported acceptance rates as high as 99 percent.

Medicare Part D could save billions through plan reassignment.

National Surgical Hospitals acquires stake in The Fairfield Surgery Center.
National Surgical Hospitals purchased an ownership interest in The Fairfield (Conn.) Surgery Center. With the acquisition of this orthopedics-focused ASC, National Surgical Hospitals now owns interests in and manages eight ambulatory surgery centers and 13 surgical hospitals across the country.

The Bloom Organization selects PriorityOne Group.
The Bloom Organization selected PriorityOne Group to manage information technology services for select ASC locations. PriorityOne Group's IT services were first implemented at The Bloom Organization's Center for Ambulatory and Minimally Invasive Surgery in Eatontown, N.J.
