Creator of fentanyl lollipop, anesthesiologist Dr. Ted Standley dies
Anesthesiologist and entrepreneur Ted Stanley, MD, 77, died from prostate cancer complications on July 13. Dr. Stanley most notably helped create the fentanyl lollipop. The lollipop delivers drugs to cancer patients in a palatable fashion.
Audubon Surgery Center now AAAHC accredited
The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care accredited Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Audubon Surgery Center. The center is a joint venture between Colorado Springs-based Penrose St. Francis Health Services and local physicians.
