Austin, Texas, has been named the top city to avoid buying a home in due to population overcrowding, according to an Aug. 4 report from GoBankingRates based on data from the U.S. Census Bureau.
Metropolitan areas with stable or slow-growing populations are likely to have greater economic prosperity, and fast-growing areas lead to overcrowding and increased housing demand, infrastructure and services, according to the report.
