ZH Healthcare released new features for the ZH OpenEMR Advanced Billing Module.
Enhancements include a Write-Off Engine and Patient Statement Engine, tools to allow billing managers to improve workflow through searching for specific codes that are underpaid or not covered by payors and apply rules for how to handle such situations. The new engines also allow billing personnel to review the transaction history of an account and flag accounts for delinquency and collections.
ZH Healthcare's system is an open EMR and revenue cycle management program that is designed to remove the financial IT burden and increase efficiency and accuracy for providers, according to the release.
