A recent study found patients are more satisfied overall by their physicians when they have access to an electronic health record portal where they can view their test results, order prescription refills and make appointments, according to AAPC.
Patients surveyed were 10 percent more satisfied overall with their physicians when having EHR portal access and were 9 percent more confident in the quality of care they received.
While the survey showed no patients are picking a physician solely based on EHR access, it is a significant factor in their choice and happiness.
