Health insurance premiums surpassing wages — 4 things to know

A Freedom Partners report found health insurance premiums have increased faster than wages and inflation, according to Fox News.

Here are four things to know:

1. From 2009 to 2014, premiums increased 28 percent.

2. In the Affordable Care Act's first year, premiums increased 9.4 percent.

3. Wages increased merely 7.8 percent from 2009 to 2014.

4. From 2004 to 2009, wages increased 12.2 percent. Premiums rose 30 percent in that time frame.
