Epic and Athenahealth were the top ranked electronic health record providers this year in research firm KLAS' awards, according to Medscape Medical News.
Epic was recognized as the best overall vendor for EHR software, according to the report.
Epic was also given the Best of KLAS Award for medical practices with 11 physicians and up and the top award for inpatient EHRs. Athenahealth was the best EHR for practices of one to 10 physicians.
KLAS rankings are based on healthcare provider feedback.
