Jacksonville, Fla.-based American Sleep Medicine will pay $15.3 million to settle accusations it billed Medicare, TRICARE and the Railroad Retirement Medicare Program for services not eligible for reimbursements, according to ENews Park Forest.
The U.S. Justice Department said Medicare and TRICARE, the program for uniformed services members and their families, claims were false because the technicians lacked proper credentials.
American Sleep also entered into a five-year Corporate Integrity Agreement, which requires them to increase accountability and undergo monitoring.
