'A better piece of legislation?' — 4 notes on Bernie Sanders role in drafting the ACA

Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders said although he helped write the Affordable Care Act to make it a "better piece of legislation," more needs to be done due to the 29 million people lacking health insurance, according to cnsnews.com.

Here are four notes:

1. In a debate held in Charleston, S.C., Mr. Sanders said he wrote the ACA along with James Clyburn (D-SC).

2. Mr. Sanders spoke about his role in drafting the ACA while explaining his proposal for a Medicare-for-all program.

3. Mr. Sanders said, "I voted for it, but right now, what we have to deal with is the fact that 29 million people still have no health insurance. We are paying the highest prices in the world for prescription drugs, getting ripped off."

4. The candidate claims his healthcare proposal would save middleclass families $5,000.
