Texas has the highest uninsured rate of any U.S. state, according to a ranking by WalletHub.
WalletHub compared the overall insurance rates in all 50 states in 2018 using U.S. Census Bureau data.
Ten states with the highest uninsured rates:
1. Texas: 17.71 percent
2. Oklahoma: 14.20 percent
3. Georgia: 13.65 percent
4. Florida: 13 percent
5. Alaska: 12.64 percent
6. Mississippi: 12.13 percent
7. Nevada: 11.21 percent
8. Idaho: 11.11 percent
9. North Carolina: 10.72 percent
10. Arizona: 10.62 percent
