Patient Safety Tool: Safe Surgical Checklist Resources From Safe Surgery 2015

The Safe Surgery 2015 initiative partnered with the South Carolina Hospital Association to ensure a modified version of the WHO Surgical Safety Checklist will be used in every operating room in South Carolina by the end of 2013.

Every hospital in the state has committed to putting a surgical checklist into use in its operating rooms.

To support this effort, the partnership — Safe Surgery 2015: South Carolina — provides several free checklist resources organizations can access to help with effectively integrating and using a surgical checklist.

These resources include checklist templates, videos and coaching materials.
