The Joint Commission has announced it has revised several elements of performance to meet the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988.
The revisions were made following a review of The Joint Commission's application for deeming authority for clinical laboratories by CMS.

Changes were made to:
- LD.04.05.09, EP 2
- QSA.02.01.01, EP 2
- QSA.05.09.01, EP 2
- QSA.08.03.01, EP 5
- QSA.08.04.01, EPs 5, 7
- QSA.08.05.01, EP 2
- QSA.08.06.01, EP 4.
The revisions take effect Feb. 1.
