Joint Commission Issues Report on Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infections

The Joint Commission has published a new report that examines catheter-associated urinary tract infections in hospitals, according to a Joint Commission news release.

 

The R3 Report (pdf) provides hospitals with information on the specific elements of performance for the new National Patient Safety Goal related to preventing CAUTIs that goes into effect Jan. 1, 2012.
